Satya Psychotherapy & Training -
Satya (suht-yuh) -Your truth
WelcomeMy name is Cori Grachek.  I have been in private practice in Philadelphia for 13 years. You are reading this and therefor you have already taken the most important step.  People decide to go into therapy for many different reasons: Life direction to mourning the death of a relationship or someone who was close to them. I welcome anyone who is really interested in working on themselves and making changes in their lives.  This is a tough journey and it takes a lot of courage to enter on to it.  I believe that you the client are the expert on your story and I bring my experience and expertise to form a healthy, productive therapeutic relationship. I look forward to speaking with you.

Who do I work with...
I work with clients ages 18 to 70, of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, sexual orientation, male, female and transgendered.  I work with individuals and couples.  I work with survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, people experiencing issues with coming out, managing stress and post traumatic stress, relationships, communication and intimacy, family of origin, discerning religious life, anxiety, depression, career decisions.

My practice...
is a holistic practice.  Healing can only take place when we are paying attention to our mind, body and however you choose to define the third part of yourself:  spirit, higher power, nature, center, peace, connection to others, something beyond yourself. My approach is to incorporate listening and respecting your point of view (Humanistic) with helping you to acknowledge and shift your thoughts (Cognitive), actions  (Behavioral) and feelings (Affective),combined with techniques of Psychodrama (Role Plays, rehearsing conversations) with yogic breathing and physical and meditative practice when appropriate.
On site reiki, massage, and other holistic services are also available.

Guest House
This being human is a guest house, Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
